Pawblesse

App studio · South Korea · Est. 2026

Every app we make has someone in it.

Pawblesse builds mobile apps across a few areas, and every one of them starts the same way: we work out who lives inside before we decide what the app does. A character is the reason someone opens an app on day forty, not just on day one — and whatever that character asks you to do then has to hold up on its own evidence.

What we do

3 areas. One of them has shipped.

We would rather name the areas we intend to work in and mark the ones that do not exist yet than show three equal cards and let you find out later. Education is the only one you can download today.

Planned

Games

The same characters, asked to carry something other than a study schedule. Nothing built yet.

Planned

Community

Somewhere for the people using the apps to compare notes. Nothing built yet.

How we work

Character, then subject, then product.

Most apps are built the other way round and get a mascot painted on at the end. Running the order backwards is the whole method, and it is also why we only work in one subject area so far.

  1. Character

    Who lives inside

Name, face, what they nag you about, how they react when you skip a day. No feature list exists yet at this point.

  2. Subject

    What they teach

We pick a subject where the research is settled enough to build on, then read the meta-analyses before drawing a single screen.

  3. Product

    The app around them

Every screen has to be something that character would plausibly do. If a feature needs them to act out of character, the feature is wrong.

  4. Evidence

    And then the check

Each mechanic has to trace to a paper. The ones that do not either get cut or get written down as something the app does not do yet.

The studio

Three brothers,
three fathers,
one studio.

We grew up in Samsan, a rural township named after three mountains. There are three of us, and all three write code. All three of us also have kids, which means every character we draw goes past a very honest focus group before it ships.

There is nobody else. No publisher, no outside money, no marketing department — which is why 2 of the 5 characters have shipped and the rest are still being drawn. It also means the person who answers your email is the person who wrote the bug.

None of us is a language teacher either, so nothing a character asks you to do is our own idea about how learning works. That part comes from the papers, and we cite them.
